Amy Boone Thompson brings over 14 years of experience in commercial, corporate and community fitness. Amy is an international presenter and author for the fitness industry, teaching management skills, leadership, client-trainer relationship enhancement and project management. She has developed, consulted and successfully placed fitness trainers and fitness managers in health clubs, medical centers and hospitals, athletic facilities and with private clients.
Amy provides a wide range of services in the health and fitness industry. She is a Program Director, Fitness Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist and International Presenter. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical & Health Education from George Mason University and multiple certificates in Nutritional and Lifestyle Coaching. Amy was a two-sport collegiate and semi-pro athlete, which naturally led her to a career as a Strength Coach and Fitness Professional.
Currently Amy is the Program Director for Stroller Strides. She is responsible for the company’s continuing education Academy and for their National Pre/postnatal Fitness Conference, Fit 4 Mom. This conference attracts Fitness and Medical Professionals, Physical Therapists and Labor/Delivery Specialists to educate them in safe and effective exercise for prenatal and postnatal clients. She also teaches fitness classes for women who are pregnant or have recently given birth.
Amy is actively involved in her community. She and her Husband own the Four Seasons Yoga Studio where they offer Yoga classes, Meditation and organic nutrition courses to men, women and children of all ages. She is also the Lead Fitness Consultant for the SHAPE Study at UCSD Cancer Center. The study is for women and men who have had breast cancer. The two-year study follows participants through supervised fitness and nutrition programs to determine its effectiveness on their vitality and longevity. Amy also volunteers with the American Council of Exercise, Operation Fit Kids in local Junior High and High Schools.
